OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY FOR CHILDREN, YOUTH & FAMILIES

Flowers, Butterflies, Possibilities

Buds N Caterpillars Therapies, located in Winnipeg, Manitoba, was founded by Gloria Dueck out of a deep desire to provide quality Occupational Therapy services to children, youth, and their families. Committed to building on the strengths of the individual and their existing circle of care, Gloria has assessed and treated children with fine motor, gross motor, visual perceptual, sensory, regulatory, social, behavioural, and developmental concerns.

While many children Gloria works with do not have formal diagnoses, some have been diagnosed with fetal alcohol spectrum disorder, autism spectrum disorder, and attention deficit disorder, among others. With paediatric experience in Egypt and First Nations communities in Canada, she is also experienced in sensitive, cross-cultural care and brings more than 25 years of expertise into her therapy practice.

Gloria’s approach is to partner with children and their families to co-create occupational opportunities, to realize occupational rights, and to provide assessment and therapy services in a safe, empowering environment.
